For decades, people have known me for the art I create. What many don't realize is how much of that imagination we now bring into the spaces and structures we build. Throughout my career, I've provided artistic direction, design, and creative services to some of the world's most recognizable brands, along with countless independent businesses and individuals.
But our experience has never stopped at the drawing board.
We've spent decades designing, fabricating, constructing, restoring, and installing the physical environments and objects that bring ideas to life.
Commercial interiors, storefronts, signage, custom furniture, luxury renovations, architectural finishes, exterior structures, landscaping, bridges, public art, and specialized installations have all been part of our professional work.
Some projects begin with nothing more than a sketch. Others involve restoring something historic, improving an existing building, or completely transforming an environment.
Our work has included hands-on fabrication and construction, creative direction of specialized trades, and managing the production and installation of custom-designed elements.
In every case, the objective is the same: take an idea beyond the concept and bring it into the physical world.

A LIFETIME OF BUILDING
Over the years, our work has extended across countless retail businesses, restaurants, commercial properties, private residences, and public environments. We've created complete commercial interiors, custom retail fixtures, cabinetry, countertops, furniture, specialty lighting, architectural wall treatments, hardwood flooring, tile installations, and custom epoxy floors.
We've designed and produced illuminated business signs, exterior signage, window graphics, vehicle wraps, and custom architectural branding installations.
We've fabricated original furnishings, handcrafted live-edge woodworking, custom bookshelves, wine cellars, and even a carved wooden sink.
Our residential experience includes luxury kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, specialty interior finishes, and extensive renovation and property-improvement projects.
And our exterior work includes custom bridges, landscape structures, retaining walls, stonework, creek rehabilitation, and monumental public art. These projects have been completed for commercial clients, private customers, business partnerships, and real estate investments throughout our career.
Artistic imagination has always been our foundation. Physical construction and fabrication have always been part of our work.
WHEN ARTISTIC VISION BECOMES CRAFTSMANSHIP
One of my favorite examples comes from Jack's Restaurant in downtown San Francisco. Founded in 1864, Jack's was one of the city's great historic restaurants. During its extensive late-1990s rehabilitation under John Konstin, the owner of John's Grill, I had the privilege of contributing creative direction and specialized artistic work.
One assignment involved the restoration of an antique gold-leaf sign on the restaurant's original windows. This wasn't a matter of ordering a new sign or replacing an old graphic. The lettering had been part of the restaurant's identity for decades. It represented history, craftsmanship, and an irreplaceable connection to the building's past.
My responsibility was to rehabilitate and reconstruct the deteriorated gold-leaf work while preserving the character of the original. It required the knowledge of an artist, the patience of a craftsman, and an understanding that some things are simply too valuable to replace. That's design and fabrication at its most meaningful.
And it's the kind of responsibility we've always enjoyed taking on.

A substantial property transformation in the Santa Cruz Mountains involving creek restoration, retaining walls, heavy natural stone installation, concrete foundations, bridge construction, architectural carpentry, and landscape rehabilitation.
A demonstration of our ability to take a complex site through creative development, construction planning, fabrication, and physical installation.
BENEATH PACIFICA | MONUMENTAL PUBLIC ART
Our Giant Pacific Octopus mural transformed approximately 100 feet of a municipal wastewater pump house into a striking public landmark.
The project incorporated extensive surface preparation, restoration, architectural painting, specialized coatings, and creative integration across the building's complex exterior.
KAUAI LUXURY KITCHEN | RESIDENTIAL RENOVATION
A luxury kitchen renovation on the island of Kauai, combining sophisticated design, detailed craftsmanship, material selection, and substantial interior improvements.
