It was an extraordinary moment when the dream contract materialized into a remarkable reality. Serving as Portland's Premier Technology Partner, the talented creative director Peter Bogdanov spearheaded the development of a groundbreaking web TV site tailored specifically for the NBA and the esteemed Portland Trail Blazers. This innovative project marked a significant milestone in the realm of technology and sports entertainment.
During the 2002-2003 season, our team successfully crafted a total of eight custom websites, each a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation. The intricate design, seamless functionality, and engaging content of these websites set a new standard in the industry, solidifying our reputation as a leading force in the digital landscape.
Through meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication, we not only met but exceeded the expectations set forth by this prestigious contract. The collaborative efforts of our team, under the visionary leadership of Peter Bogdanov, resulted in a series of digital masterpieces that captivated audiences and revolutionized the way sports content was delivered online. This project stands as a shining example of what can be achieved through passion, expertise, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
The Portland Trail Blazers approached us with a disagreement they had with the local Comcast company. which meant they wouldn't be able to air the games to the Oregon area. So we got to work creating the first Web TV project in the NBA. Our workload was immense. Every game saw a brand new interactive website custom built for one game. Our team shot all the photography before, during and after each game. It was exciting to be court side putting in the work so the game could be seen locally.
It was a great privilege to become the Technology partner of the NBA franchise the Portland Trail Blazers. As part of this partnership we had the pleasure of working with The Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and more. Our work was as innovative as the web had seen at that time. We created 8 game day interactive Web TV sites that vgave fans an up close look at the games before and after. Sites that each saw 3 million visits per game.
Each game we busted out an entirely new Flash interface that displayed photos and video taken before, during and after the game. Our work was full circle. We provided the art direction, Flash code, video, media work, and photography with the help of Dave Arpin. We built and ran the entire show in house in cooperation with the Blazer staff. It was an amazing time and an amazing breakthrough in what could be done at the time. So much so we were featured in Rip City magazine.
Thank you to the staff of the Blazers, you rock!
